Yogyakarta, 16 September 2025 — Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta (UPNVY) and Singapore Polytechnic (SP) have launched Learning Express (LeX) 2025, a cross-cultural community service and innovation program.

The program brings together 30 students from each institution to collaborate with local communities in Kalitirto Village, Sleman. Using Design Thinking, participants conduct empathy studies, identify local challenges, and co-create practical solutions to improve rural life.

LeX 2025 runs from 16–24 September 2025, featuring an opening ceremony, field activities, and a closing exhibition. Beyond academic and intercultural learning, the initiative provides tangible benefits for local communities while fostering empathy and innovation among students.
